A Personal Journey That Sparked a Movement
The inspiration behind StarKids came from Nisha’s own journey as a mother of a child on the autism spectrum. She experienced first-hand the difficulties of finding a grooming space where her child could feel calm, safe, and supported. Traditional salons often overlook sensory sensitivities, loud clippers, bright lights, and overwhelming sounds can make grooming an extremely stressful experience for children with sensory processing differences.
Recognizing this gap in the market, Nisha set out to create something truly inclusive. StarKids was born with the mission of providing a salon environment tailored for children of all abilities.
